Hong Kong Open

The final tournament before the top 60 descend on Dubai sees Race to Dubai leader Lee Westwood up against Rory McIlroy as they battle to head the field into Dubai next week. However at odds of 8 & 9/1 they cannot be backed this week although the Ulsterman is in brilliant form. The shortest course on tour all year should suit one of the most consistent performers this year in the shape of Soren Kjeldsen and its he who has shown great putting form all year that I will be backing to win this week at 25/1. Whilst tempted to have a punt on Darren Clarke or Jeev Milka Singh, I have an inkling this week for Chapchai Nirat again as well as Danny Lee, who won earlier this year as an amateur. One of my earlier fancies this year, Andrew Coltart needs a good showing this week to keep his card and I hope he does it as he has had a good comeback this year but whether he can grab a top 10 this week I'm not sure as it will be quite intense this week as the likes of Clarke,Zanotti,Jonzon battle for a Dubai spot whilst the last chance saloon sees the year scramble for cards
