Shell Houston Open

After more frustration last week when Richard Finch finished in the top 5 not to mention the top 10, I had selected Rafael Cabrera-Bello at big odds over the Englishman, as mentioned in last weeks post. I was tempted to have a break altogether this week and keep next bet to next week's Masters but as the field for the Shell Houston Open is quite strong I feel its a good betting tournament. Surely, the "Big Easy" can't win again this week ? Padraig will be toning his game for Augusta and he may not necessarily want to win on Sunday. Martin Kaymer is top quality golfer who on the other hand is trying to make a mark on US soil and having based himself in Arizona this year, he may just be up for it this week as he tests his sharpness for next week. At odds of 25/1 across most bookies he is my number one bet.
Charl Scwartzel, 50/1 is great value for agolfer in the best form of his career. Odds are value due to this being a PGA tour event but he has renewed confidence and is worth a punt at these odds purely based on form. he is big hitter which is crucial this week (think its crucial every week in the US).
A small outside wager is also suggested for Carl Pettersen to finish in the top 10 @ 12/1. The Swede has been in good form lately and may go well enough to finish in the top 10.

Shell Houston Open Selections:

.5 pts WIN Martin Kaymer @ 25/1
.5 pts e/w C.Schwartzel @ 50/1
.5 pts Top 10 C.Pettersen @ 12/1
