2025 Recap

It was unfortunately another losing calendar year for the blog in 2025 although it did seem more enjoyable than previous years and I suppose looking at the breakdown of where I bet in '25 and how I fared I can see how I felt that way. The PGA Tour yet again was a loser for me as were the Majors !!

Whilst I did play more of the Challenge (I can't bring myself to call it the Hotel Planner Tour as I really hate naming rights) and the KFT (naming rights!) it's clear to me that I do much better closer to home and that of the DP Tour. The Challenge Tour brought a loss from only 16 selections so I probably need to look at it more closely this year and I'll definitely play the KFT tour having made ~65% ROI from the 20 selections made albeit a small size to analyse properly on both of these tours.

The DP Tour saw a total of 141 picks with totals stakes amounting to 377.75 units returning 398.28u, yielding a mere 5.43% ROI and profit of +20.53u.

From a total of 146 PGA selections [338.25 units staked/328.30 returned] a loss of -9.95 units suggest not all is bad with my PGA attempt but perhaps I need to choose specific events over others and that I intend to do in 2026 and wait to see how the form is over the next few weeks.

Overall however the blog yielded a profit of +38.11 units profit in the outright selections but I failed miserably in the TOP-20 markets overseeing a loss of -72.88 units which lent itself to the overall loss.

In 2025 there a total of 93 blog posts, more than any of the previous 16 years but as embark on doing the blog selections again in 2026, my 18th year to do so, I'll see if I can hit 100 posts and return to a winning year. 2026 does look like it could be quite competitive on all tours so there is value to be had for sure
