Made In Himmerland 2022

Very late to post but I've mulled of my final shortlist for quite a bit and have decided to punt nearly all of them but leave out Schneider, whom I've backed the past couple of events  as I've missed the price

Two Danes in the shortlist and I'm "interested" in Marcus Helligkilde but not sure if the +EV is correct but I'll go with my gut instinct here. Wallace wins though doesn't he? I'm a little surprise he's not priced a bit shorter so he had to be included

European Masters 2022 - Crans sur Sierre, Switzerland

I suppose we should see this week's field as the new "strong DP World Tour" lineup? With Wentworth two weeks away that will change but between now and Dubai it probably will be as good as it gets and if so, then the ones on the shortlist below must be the ones I will need to focus on over the next 6 weeks or so.

Marcel Schneider left it a bit late to get going last Sunday and was never looking like challenging for the title but he at least returned some profit on the event itself to bring the 2022 P&L up to +126.04 pts. I dont have him down as a value bet this week based on on Stats but as he celebrated with Max Kieffer last Sunday he could very well be motivated to perform better this week and having sided with him twice this month already I'd be kicking myself if he did produce a result here this week @ 60/1 - 7 places

No value in Ryan Fox or Marcus Armitage who I was really keen on but  the prices are fair based on my own "tissue". It's Matt Wallace though that is irritating me here as he's a guy I simply cant take too and certainly don't want to cheering on come Sunday afternoon but thinks there is value with the 40/1 given he has shown before when returning from the PGA that the DP Tour is a step down in class and he seems to rise to the challenge or lack thereof. This is golf betting right here; I am not backing him before the off based on my personal dislike of him (he could be a lovely guy for all that I know) and instead I'll add Victor Perez and Ardri Arnaus, as well as Edoardo Molinari & Lukas Nemecz. Slattery should go well as he has done before in the past but I'd want more than 100/1 for a player that doesn't win. Louis De Jager caught my eye last week but I'll give benefit of the doubt to my 80/1 pricing and leave him out here also. Arnaus I think is super value this week given the field and if he can start well on Thursday and drive it a bit straighter than he has done of late he will contend!

0.50 pts e/w L. Nemecz @ 100/1 - 7 places

Tour Championship 2022 - East Lake GC, Atlanta, Georgia

The 2021-2022 PGA season concludes this week with the 30-man Tour Championship to be once again played at East Lake GC, Georgia. For the third successive year though, we face the ridiculous handicap scenario where FedEx Cup leader, Scottie Scheffler starts the 72 hole tournament on -10 followed by the defending champion, Patrick Cantlay on -8. Given the state of Professional Tour Golf at the moment, I fully expect this to be the final time we will endure this format.

With two outright markets to play this week, the Tour Championship Winner vs the 72-hole strokeplay winner, I am interested in getting involved with a player that I was onboard with last week, one Jon Rahm. "Rambo" fell out of the starting stalls last week but powered through the field over the weekend  at Wilmington GC, to finish T8th. Whilst I looked seriously at Rory & Xander this week I am quite bullish on Rahm finishing the season on a high following the birth of his second son, just two weeks ago @ 19.00 on the exchange.  I've taken 3.25 for a TOP5 also. Rahm started 4 shots back of Cantlay last year to shoot 266 and get within one of eventual FedEx Cup Champions, Cantlay and this year he starts 7 shots back. Likewise does JT and one back of Rory,Cam Smith & Tony Finau. Rahm has posted 7 TOP-5s from his 10 playoff appearances, with a Tour Championship 72 hole return of 1-6-12-11-7. He sounded fired up last week in Delaware as he raced up the leaderboard and he is taken to get off to a much better start this week and potentially win the loot !

At double the price is JT @ 42.00 (4.50 TOP-5) and  @ 25/1 - 5 places with the high street. His 72 hole results the past 6 years reads 4-3-3-7-2-6 noting his score have been improving year on year with a 65 thrown in last year and 3 66s in 2020. He is not without a chance this week and proved already this year when winning the PGA Championship that a deficit can be overcome at the death and thought he was worth backing at the exchanges. I've added him 1/4 odds in the each-way market also for the  - 4 places winner-without-starting-strokes (72 holes strokeplay)

Selections

3 pts WIN J. Rahm to win Tour Championship @ 19.00
3 pts TOP-5 J. Rham @ 3.25

1 pt WIN J. Thomas to win Tour Championship @ 42.00
2 pts TOP-5 J. Thomas @ 4.50
1 pt e/w J. Thomas @14/1  - 4 places winner-without-starting-strokes (72 holes strokeplay)
