I'm only interested in the 72 hole tournament which the bookies have a separate market on as opposed to the "winner" of the event. Patrick Cantlay leads the FedEx Cup and so starts the tournament on -10 with the next player in the ranking,Tony Finau on -8, Bryson Dechambeau on -7 and so on down the 30 man field.
Having backed both Rory & DJ last week and with both placing, I am sure both will go very well here again this week too but it's the latter that caught my eye the most in Maryland and I'm quietly confident of DJ making a run at the Championship this week. Whilst DJ "won" the Tour Championship last year, I made him 3rd in strokeplay over the 72 holes. Former results read 3-29-3-17-6-5-dnp-5-10-23-22-27. He'll start 7 shots behind Cantlay this time round and he won't be ignoring his chances...gets a hot start and he & Rory could indeed make this years event the most exciting yet.....although it will be very tough to beat the excitement of last week's 6-hole playoff !
