Kenya Open 2022 - Muthaiga GC, Nairobi, Kenya

The DP Tour resumes this week in Kenya where South Africans, Dean Burmester & Justin Harding head the betting. The event switches to Muthaiga GC from Karen GC where we will see 5 par-3s in play along with 4 par-5s. By all accounts this is a traditional style course but with plenty of water about. Again this week, a strong tee to green game is required I believe this week. With the little research I've put in for this event, I'm not going to get over involved here without not only knowing the course too well, but also recognising that despite the two at the head of the betting having been recent winners, the field is very open and not particularly strong.

I got a bit of run for my money last time out with both Oliver Bekker & Yannik Paul and I'm more than happy to side with both again here. Bekker may be pushing on in years but that hasn't stopped Richard Bland performing on tour the past twelve months or so, and so the South African is taken to keep form and to contend here @ 33/1 - 8 places. Two TOP-10s in Ras al Khaimah can be converted to a better result in Nairobi.

Paul is strong off the tee ranking TOP-30 for both SG:OTT & SG:T2G to date this season on tour. From his 3 starts this season he's posted 33-53-8 and if he brings a warm putter this week can improve those returns somewhat @ 66/1 - 7 places

Selections

1.5 pt e/w O. Bekker @ 33/1 - 8 places
1 pt e/w Y. Paul @ 66/1 - 7 places
