Honda Classic 2023 - PGA National, Palm Beach Florida

I may have priced this event totally wrong as my prices are way out of sync with the market. Perhaps that presents value but I'm really struggling with it. This isn't a great field and one player that I'm totally out of kilter with appears to be Harris English. Taking the quality of the field into account, I still don't get how he's only 35/1 best price. Perhaps he is a 35/1 shot especially if Thomas Detry is the same price! But at that price I'd much prefer Taylor Pendrith please ! 25th on debut here twelve months ago and despite a stop-stsrt to the current season I think the Canadian can kickstart the season here this week. He has one T-10 from his 8 starts and that came just 2 starts ago at the AT&T whilst he posted a T-15 at Hilton Head. He's worth a play here.

Genuinely was interested in Denny McCarthy here but I'm aghast at best odds of 25/1!! Do I need to give this game up ?  On a serious note, I really considered sitting this event out. The LPGA had a competitive field this week but I can't really take a third week looking at scores during the night as it's tour descends on Thailand.  For what it's worth I think Jennifer Kupcho will go well there and I have backed her @ 100/1 !

With a difficult event in India being played on a course that I hate looking at, I'll complete the week's staking plan here in Florida by adding Billy Horschel @ 25/1 - 8 places (22s my tissue) and a speculative hunch that Jason Dufner could surprise all @ 250/1 - 8 places.
